Terran is the easiest race in Starcraft 2, because it allows you to construct units with straightforward research and cost. Developing a good Starcraft 2 Terran strategy is much easier than the Zerg or Protoss, so it is often recommended for amateur players. There are usually three main Starcraft 2 Terran strategies: air, mech, and infantry. To create a devastating effect, all of these strategies can be used together. However, this should only be attempted by experienced players.

Infantry
There are four infantry types that all players should know. The most common are Marauders, or Mass Marines, since mixing these two players together can be highly effective. If the enemy has a large aircraft attack force, you can counter by building two reactors attached to two barracks. This creates an option called a marine ball, which makes it fairly easy to win. In the meantime, you could also amass a dozen more Marines for a counter attack. For Roaches or Stalkers, you will need a large until of Marauders, which are easy to obtain early on in the game. Combining Medivacs, Marauders, and Marines is a highly effective strategy and one of the most popular options for Terran Starcraft players.
Mech
For Terrans, Mech units are very effective and create an excellent attack strategy. This option usually consists of Thors and Siege tanks, which can punish both ground and aircraft units if amassed correctly. Players can also add Hellions or Vikings, depending on the capabilities of the enemy. Adding some Ghost Recon is also an excellent strategy since Ghosts can knock off special targets like Infestors or disable shields of Immortals with an EMP charge. Ghosts are mainly used for recon or to provide cover, but they should not be used as a main ground force.
Air
Getting adequate air power is essential for combating Zerg and Protoss players. However, it is very rare for professional Terran players to amass large amounts of air units. For defeating Protoss and Zerg, you can rush a large number of Banshees. For playing against another Terran, use Vikings for a similar effect. Developing superior aircraft power against a Protoss player can be quite difficult since Terran players do not have as many air options available. For this reason, most professionals stick to ground units and amass plenty of ground to air missile units to protect against air attacks.
One of the most effective air strategies is called the switch. If you are a Terrain playing Protoss, opt for a large amount of ground units since it is fairly common for the other player to amass a large level of Sentries, Immortals, Zealots, and Colossi. Once the enemy has amassed a ground army, the player can make a quick switch and build a brigade of Banshees. This can inflict a devastating attack on other players if they do not have adequate air defenses. It is important to make this starcraft 2 terran strategy move fairly early in the game before the enemy starts to amass resources and build air defense as a result.
